Our facility in Billerica, Massachusetts is located in the metropolitan Boston area and specializes in the design and manufacturing of advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices. This site's Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) products are laser-based imaging tools that have transformed ophthalmic care and made notable impacts on patients in cardiology, dermatology, oncology, gastroenterology, and other medical specialties.

We are presently seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Global Business Services (GBS) team.  This position requires a motivated individual who can perform a variety of Accounts Payable tasks as the organization grows.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Monitor AP mailbox for incoming invoices to be processed and paid;
• Vouch invoices with required approvals ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments;
• Handle all vendor correspondence via phone and email;
• Resolve invoice discrepancies timely by working with the purchasing group;
• Perform vendor account research and reconciliation;
• Support continuous improvement efforts;
  • Identify, track, and resolve recurring problems and issues;
  • Recommend process improvements for payment activity;
  • Research and use system capability in order perform duties with greater efficiency;
• Assist with internal and external audits;
• Assist in maintaining internal controls;
• Backup as assigned, to ensure coverage and resilience within the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, degree in Accounting preferred;
• Experience with SAP ECC required, knowledge of SAP S4Hana a plus;
• Proficiency in Excel required;
• Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting;
• Must demonstrate a keen attention to detail and timelines;
• Motivated self-starter with strong initiative;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• Exercises good judgment and problem-solving skills.

This position is a temporary position.
