Job Outline

To provide accurate and efficient manufacturing and procurement plans, to achieve agreed output requirements, accounting for current status, opportunities and limitations of contributing resources. To regularly update to reflect ever changing requirements and condition

Key Responsibilities

  • To monitor progress to agreed plans through both meeting forums and direct liaison, and determine any suitable corrections to achieve the Master Production Schedule
  • To derive and provide standard and bespoke status reports in suitable formats based on AX data, as required
  • To manage relevant complementary data fields (calendars, shift patterns, overtime, utilisation etc) to ensure accurate MRP and Capacity Planning calculation
  • To evaluate through audit and formal review, condition of issued work in progress - slow moving, accuracy of feedback reporting (operations and quantities), resolution of transactional queries
  • To control and maintain internal 'Works Orders' (including re-scheduling where required) to achieve the requirements of the MPS, with objective of achievable dates and performance to planned leadtime
  • To undertake reviews and propose responses to 'Opportunities' and 'Contract Reviews'

Personal Specification:

Applicants should be able to demonstrate a good level of general education, (at least Grade “C” or above at GCSE level or equivalent) and be PC literate with a full working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

In addition to a positive outlook and a ‘can do’ attitude, the following attributes are also required:

  • Operations Planning or similar experience
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation
