As Technical Service Representative you will quote and perform preventative and demand maintenance on industrial equipment. The position also provides technical support for industrial equipment via phone and email. The work will be carried out at the Excelitas Noblelight Service center in Gaithersburg, Maryland and customer sites.

Your role and responsibilities

• Maintain a high-level of customer satisfaction through virtual and in person interactions;
• Evaluate and repair electromechanical industrial equipment;
• Provide on-site preventative maintenance, startup, and training services;
• Troubleshoot and handle customer problems via telephone and email;
• Review warranty issues on customer equipment;
• Provide repair quotations for service of customer-owned equipment;
• Manage assigned projects from inception to completion;
• Assist in assembly of electromechanical equipment for custom projects;

Required Qualifications

 Associate’s degree in related area with 2 years of related experience; or high school graduate with 5 years of related experience.

• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude;
• Experience using volt meters and other test equipment;
• Ability to travel on short notice;
• Good planning and organizational skills;
• Excellent customer relation skills;
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Word and Outlook;
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP a plus;
• Ability to communicate technical information in verbal and written formats;
• Ability to work without direct supervision;
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs;
• Ability to retain knowledge and learn more Heraeus products;
• Ability to distinguish colors on electrical components;
