Leading Industrial Technology Manufacturer Marks Two Decades of Fluorescence Illumination Excellence with its X-Cite Product Portfolio

During the event, Excelitas will also celebrate its 20-year anniversary of the X-Cite brand. Offering a variety of Lamp and LED light sources for fluorescence microscopy applications, X-Cite has grown to be the industry standard in fluorescence illumination.
WHAT: Staff will be on-site at Excelitas Booth # 1716 to present live demonstrations and display featured products including:
- New X-Cite XYLIS™ II Broad Spectrum LED Illumination System: A replacement for the current X-Cite XYLIS, XYLIS II offers several improvements, including significantly quieter operation and increased optical output, with the broadest spectrum available in a white light LED for fluorescence microscopy applications. Rivaling traditional arc lamps for brightness, XYLIS II is ideal for both compound and stereomicroscopes. It incorporates Excelitas’ patented, award-winning LaserLED Hybrid Drive® technology to overcome the LED green gap from the 540 nm to 590 nm region of the spectrum, where LED-only systems are significantly challenged.
- pco.edge 10 bi LT CLHS sCMOS Camera: With a back-illuminated image sensor, the next-level pco.edge 10 bi LT sCMOS camera provides a quantum efficiency of up to 85% with a broad spectrum extending to NIR. The sensor incorporates microlenses and a deep-trench isolation for crosstalk suppression resulting in an excellent MTF. Furthermore, the camera features new imaging performance and provides a large image circle by using a high-resolution 10.4 MPixel image sensor with a square pixel size of 4.6 μm.
- X-Cite NOVEM™ 9-Channel LED Illumination System: As Excelitas’ next-generation LED light source, X-Cite NOVEM delivers the brightest and most powerful LED illuminator ever. The nine-wavelength, fast-switching system includes spectral coverage from Fura-2 all the way to IR800. X-Cite NOVEM incorporates Excelitas’ patented LaserLED Hybrid Drive to effortlessly fill the green gap in the challenging 500 nm to 600 nm range. It also features high excitation power for fluorescence applications across the UV-visible-NIR spectrum.
- pco.pixelfly™ 1.3 SWIR Camera: The high-performance pco.pixelfly 1.3 SWIR machine vision camera features a special InGaAs image that is sensitive in the shortwave infrared, near infrared and visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum. As a result, the pco.pixelfly 1.3 SWIR shows a favorably high sensitivity in the whole spectral range with more than 90% in the shortwave infrared part. The small pixels enable the use of small magnification optics in microscopy and a low dark current allows for even longer exposure times.
